How to invite a friend

1. In the free-pi CLI, run /invite, or open freepi.ai/credits while signed in. Either one gives you your invite code and your invite link, which looks like https://freepi.ai/?ref=<code>.
2. Send the link to your friend. When they open it on freepi.ai, the install command on the page changes to include your code: npx free-pi-cli@latest --ref <code>.
3. Your friend runs that command and signs in with GitHub. They can also skip the website and run npx free-pi-cli@latest --ref <code> directly.
4. When your friend makes their first request that uses credits (their free daily credits count; no purchase is needed), you both get +5,000 credits a day on top of the normal daily allowance, for 30 days.

Your invite link is also on freepi.ai/credits when you are signed in. The page also shows how many friends have filled your slots.

Check your progress

Run /referrals in the CLI to see how many friends have signed up, how many have qualified, your active bonuses, and when the latest one ends. If you are signed in, the same numbers are at freepi.ai/referrals.

Rules

• Only new free-pi users count. Someone who already has an account cannot be referred later.
• Your friend must sign in with GitHub. Guest accounts do not count.
• Your friend's GitHub account must be at least 30 days old when they first sign in to free-pi. A younger account is not counted, and waiting afterwards does not change that.
• You cannot refer yourself.
• A friend who signs up but never makes a request earns nothing for either of you.
• Up to 10 bonuses from inviting friends can be active for you at the same time (your own signup bonus doesn't count toward this). If a friend qualifies while you already have 10 active, you get no bonus for that friend, but your friend still gets theirs.
